Ellen Schoenmakers is an herbalist. With Guido Krijger, she founded Wild Wier, a company that harvests and distributes wild algae. Their approach is oriented towards education and awareness. They do this by organizing excursions and promoting the algae varieties of their region, the Oosterschelde National Park in the Netherlands.
