Design and Innovation

Joana Luz

Discover Atelier LUMA’s thoughtful and engaged approach to research and design. At the crossroads of experimentation and practice, Atelier LUMA uses design to explore the potential of natural resources and local expertise, presenting new ways of imagining how we conceive, produce, and share—rooted in the scale of a territory. Working with emblematic materials such as salt from the surrounding salt marshes, merino wool, and algae from the Camargue, Atelier LUMA develops innovative, place-based solutions that can be applied locally and shared with other regions around the world. These projects sketch out new relationships with living systems. Through this lens, Atelier LUMA invites us to engage with the world differently. Extend your visit with breakfast at the Drum Café, immersed in the materials and ideas shaping future ways of living.

Maximum 25 participants per group
Multiple groups may run simultaneously

Duration: 2h30–3h00

This experience can also be organized outside regular opening hours, allowing for a private visit in an exclusive setting.
