The Jackson Pollock Bar is a performance collective founded in 1993. It specializes in what they term “Theorie Installationen”, which are principally playback reiterations of public events addressing contemporary art.

The JPB has been collaborating regularly with the Art and Language collective since 1995. Since their appearance at Documenta 10, they’ve performed in a wide range of international art venues.

The JPB is based in Freiburg, Germany. Directed by Christian Matthiessen. Always starring: Martin Horn.
