David Horvitz

Born in 1961 in California, or perhaps in 1980 - as he likes to broadcast different birth dates on the internet -, David Horvitz lives and works in Los Angeles. Taking the form of interventions on the web like the project "Public Access" (2010) for which the artist inserted photos of himself on different Wikipedia pages, performance, book, photography or mail art, the practice of David Horvitz, marked by a conceptual heritage, questions our relationship to time, space and networks that surround us. As a passer of images, a disseminator of ideas and forms, David Horvitz proceeds by circulation and correspondence. He exchanges with the public to incite it to think differently about its environment, while playing with the boundaries between the intimate and the common, art and everyday life.
