Émilie Rousselou
Émilie ROUSSELOU is the head of the Domaine du Possible University in Arles. Initiated by the founders of Actes Sud in 2015, this experimental site combines polyculture and breeding in organic agriculture with conducting research and teaching through different types of training. Rousselou runs the training and research center and coordinates the farm’s agricultural production. Specialized in geography, she has always used her professional experiences in projects related to agroecology, the creation of farmers’ networks, and territorial initiatives. Her experience living with the Kel Tamasheq in the heart of the Sahara taught her the delicacy of balanced ecosystems. Several years of work with different NGOs in Africa, and then in the Drôme region, gave her the desire to become a farmer, and since 2013, Emilie and her husband have created the Spiruline Arc-en-ciel farm in the Cévennes. Since 2013, she has also received education in the design of permaculture agroecosystems. Rousselou teaches in several organizations, including Nîmes’ agricultural college, the French Federation of Spirulina Farmers, and the Gard CIVAM.
