Interview with KOO JEONG A

In this video, artist KOO JEONG A presents the exhibition LAND OF OUSSS [KANGSE] and elaborates on the concept of “KANGSE SpSt,” a poetic translation of “spatial strength” that serves as the project’s conceptual anchor.

KOO JEONG A describes the process of transforming memories, materials, and scents collected from around the world into a singular fragrance, and explains how the sculptures, rocks, and luminescent paintings draw inspiration from invisible forces as well as from natural phenomena.

In this interview, the artist also shares a distinctive approach to inhabiting and reconfiguring the spaces of LUMA Arles through works installed across two exhibition galleries and the Drum of The Tower.
