In her work, Nalo Hopkinson explores how science fiction translates imaginary worlds into reflections on reality. In this video, she shares her journey influenced by author Samuel R. Delany and her desire to represent black cultures. Nalo Hopkinson also highlights the emergence of "Caribbean futurism" and the use of science fiction to address social and cultural issues.
