From Friday May 16 to Sunday May 18, 2025, the LUMA Arles mediation team invites the public to discover the creations of the students who have taken part in the Educational Program throughout the year.

Since 2015, LUMA Arles has been developing an Educational Program for the young public at the Parc des Ateliers.

This year, LUMA Arles mediation teams have worked with 43 classes from schools in Arles, youth centers and community centers. They organized workshops on a variety of themes, including biodiversity, art and cooking, and the transformation of a former industrial site.

Where is your place in Nature? Repositioning humans within biodiversity

Implemented for the first time in 2020, this educational project invites third-cycle students to question the place of Man within biodiversity. Over the course of the school year, pupils have discovered the flora and fauna of the Parc des Ateliers, as well as the fragile ecosystem of the Camargue, in particular through an excursion to restaurant La Chassagnette garden.

The students will present their creations: a diorama of colorful imaginary insects!

The Parc des Ateliers, a transformation with a thousand facets

Launched in 2021, “Le Parc des Ateliers, une transformation aux mille facettes” (“The Parc des Ateliers, a thousand-faceted transformation”) is part of a project designed to introduce elementary school students to the historical, landscape, architectural and cultural wealth of the Parc des Ateliers. Students took part in workshops on a wide range of artistic topics, including the rehabilitation and transformation of a former industrial site, artwork types and scenography.

Come and discover 4 mini-museums conceived and designed by the students.

The Creatives: art in the classroom!

“Les Créatifs: l'art en classe!” invites middle and high school students to design and produce a project around an artistic theme, with the help of artists. This year's theme was Art and Cooking.

Together with Ève Alexandre, Antoine Barré and Benjamin Reiss, students drew their own manga comics, crafted ceramic objects and painted still lifes on their canteen trays.

"Art'Gile & Nature" and "Pantin Méli-Mélo" workshops

The “Art'Gile & Nature” and “Pantin Méli-Mélo” workshops, in connection with the exhibitions Le chant du centre by Theaster Gates and Je n'attends plus by William Kentridge, were held over the course of the school year for children from Arles' youth centers and social centers.

Visitors can discover the photographs documenting these moments of creation and togetherness.
