Designer and « architecture technologist », Mae-Ling Lokko shares her vision of today’s and tomorrow’s design by addressing the designers’ relationship to others and to the environment.
Mae-Ling Lokko approaches the latter in Atelier LUMA’s “Carbocycene” project: transforming agricultural waste by feeding it with mycelium to make new materials. Mycelium is an organism that metabolizes and degrades the pollutants found in our environment and binds all types of agricultural matter. Another way to rethink our natural economy.
